Stream Online
Stream is an online, interactive TV channel. Based in Hull, the channel has been broadcasting since 2006 and Classlane have been contributing programmes since the launch.
Initially, this involved creating business profiles of local businesses and more complex, extended content covering the business community in general, but we now also provide programme ideas and content for the channels “Independent Living” campaign which provides programming for the elderly and is accessed via their televisions through a set-top box.
We also act as advisors for the channel and participate in their mentoring scheme which provides training and support for start-up media businesses. The sample above shows a programme we conceived for the channel called ‘The David Hall Challenge’ where Yorkshire business guru, David Hall, challenged Hull businesses to increase their turnover following his advice. The series of programmes proved a huge success and benefited the local economy to the tune of £20 million in increased turnover.
