An update on our project for the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race.
Can it be a full six months since we first filmed the start of the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race? Yes it can, and it is.
As the competing teams race from Qingdao in China to California we though we’d let you know how we’ve been involved. We have a representative travelling to every stop on the race gathering footage. We then edit the footage and then upload it to the Clipper Broadcast website to enable broadcasters around the world to access and use in their news bulletins.
There’s been no lack of excitement during the race with the Cork and Hull & Humber boats colliding, a member of Hull & Humber’s crew going overboard and the Australian boat being disqualified for having an engine (one of these ‘facts’ is made up).
We’ll be completing work on the project when the race finishes in Hull on 17th July this year, but in the meantime please have a look at the interview we shot with Clipper President and maritime legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, above.
