Freedom Of The City
September 16, 2009
We were the official TV crew at Hull’s Freedom Festival over the weekend.
The festival, which attracted an estimated 100,000 people to the city, featured the likes of Pixie Lott, Peter Andre, Florence and the Machine, The Saturdays and Alesha Dixon and we were there to capture the event for the organisers.
As well as the bands there were events all over the city centre, such as the Carabosse fire show, an edit of which you can view above. More edits will be posted as and when they are completed.
Here are some interesting facts about the festival:
1) Peter Andre was there with his brainy wife Katie “Gordon” Price, the two seemed very happy together.
2) The Saturdays played on Saturday, for which they insisted on being paid overtime.
3) Florence and the Machine had a 32-man support team, all of whom were dedicated to ensuring that the Machine didn’t break down.
As always, one or more of these facts are completely false, can you spot which ones?
