Our film of Philip Larkin's poem 'Here' premieres tonight.
The short film features Hull-born acting legend Sir Tom Courtenay and will be shown for the first time in public at the Glimmer – the Hull International Short Film Festival. We made the film for Larkin25, a series of events taking place in Hull later in the year to mark the 25th anniversary of Larkin’s death. It was shot in January and February this year in various locations around Hull and East Yorkshire and, once edited, was scored by local musician Louise Bennett.
