Our news footage was beamed around the world at yesterday's Clipper Yacht Race.
As the Clipper 2009-2010 Round The World Yacht Race left Hull yesterday, we had camera crews and edit suites creating the footage which broadcasters right around the globe used for their news bulletins. Along with our friends at Top Banana we shot, edited and uploaded all of the footage using a purpose built virtual news report station.
The footage was shot and uploaded in a constant stream throughout the day and appeared on the first news bulletins within minutes of being shot, being used by TV stations from as far away as California and China as well as Australia, Canada, and right across Europe.
We’ll post some of the edited footage on this site as soon as everyone has had a decent night’s sleep but in the meantime please have a look at a brief unedited clip which went online of the interview we did with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston in the build up to the event.
