Par For The Course
April 11, 2011
Our crew have just returned from making a series of films at the Royal Westmoreland Resort.
The resort, in Barbados, is one of the most desirable resorts in the world. It boasts regular visits from celebrities in the spotlight, and our film crew found themselves staying in the five-star villa, owned by boxing legend Joe Calzaghi, with the villa next door being owned by England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
Cameraman David Stubbins is an avid Manchester United fan. He said: “The villas were simply stunning. We were staying in Calzaghi’s villa and said to a member of staff, ‘Who lives next door?’
“They replied, ‘Oh, that’s Wayne Rooney’s place.’
“I have been a United fan for years. I only wish he had been there. We could have had a kickabout.”
David also filmed at the resort’s championship golf course, which was recently given the accolade of number 31 in the world outside of the USA, and was designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr.
