Taking Over The Town

April 30, 2008

Classlane filming for the NHS

We caused quite a stir in middle of Hull over the last couple of days while creating a new video for the NHS.

The programme, about new care centres and GP surgeries in Hull, involved bringing in a huge Jimmy Jib arm from the makers of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” into Victoria Square in the middle of the town. We had to call for help from the BBC, Hull City Council, the city ambassadors and various other bodies around the town, so thanks to all of them for making everything come together so well.

Other locations included the Hull Royal Infirmary, Marfleet Group Practice and the roof of Essex House (which was very cold!) and wrangling presenters, public and pigeons took 6 crew and a lot of diplomacy. The finished programme will be available to view on this site in the very near future but in the meantime please enjoy the related video above.
