Meet some of the motley crew of staff that work at Classlane Media!

Dave Beasley - MD, Producer and Director

Dave Beasley

Dave is an award winning film director and broadcast producer who has worked for Sky, Channel 4 and the BBC.

As a result of his digital entrepreneurial qualities, Dave has been instrumental in industry-shifting initiatives in the UK and worldwide. Dave is an experienced online film expert and has been providing films that inspire, change behaviour, perceptions, challenge and motivate for over three decades. He is also a regular speaker on the power of online video in the UK, the US and South Africa. Dave has recently been appointed ‘President’ of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Humber branch, Yorkshire.

Rich Manville - Head of Multimedia

Rich Manville

A world class graphic design and digital media producer, Rich has the ability to translate complex data into readily interpreted visual presentations with an expert knowledge of multimedia production.

He also ensures the smooth running of the video streaming side of the business, managing online film libraries.

Rich is hugely fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, online video management software and a wide range of social media sites, and has produced websites and digital presentations for clients such as Unilever, The FA and Nestle.

Andi Olssen - Head of Post Production

Andi Olssen

As Classlane’s Senior Creative Editor, Andi has worked with an extensive list of blue-chip clients, and has a proven track record in creating films with a contemporary, edgy slant, whilst always communicating the client’s core messages. As an experienced Avid editor, an inquisitive use of colourisation and audio mixing are his trademarks.

Prior to joining Classlane, Andi graduated from Goldsmiths College London (Damien Hirst, Sam Taylor Wood etc) in 1999.

David Stubbins - Cameraman/Editor/Director

David Stubbins

As the Classlane all rounder, David is responsible producing the unique look and style of our films and has experience of working all over the world.

Producing content for most major broadcasters for over 13 years, David is both a highly experienced camera operator and editor. His list of skills also includes directing, writing, and vision mixing large multi-camera events.

Adrian Medforth - Cameraman

Adrian Medforth

Adrian has over 20 years experience as a cameraman.

He has worked on many broadcast TV productions for Sky, the BBC and ITV, covering everything from sporting events to news features as well as working on TV commercials and dramas.

Simon Baxter - Cameraman

Simon Baxter

Simon is an experienced and versatile lighting cameraman with over 15 years experience behind the camera.

He has worked on projects in Australia, the Caribbean, Greece, and the USA and is an established, well respected editor as well as camera operator. Some of Simon’s areas of expertise include aerial shots, specialist tracking and underwater filming.

Alan Mumby - Producer/Director/Scriptwriter

Alan Mumby

Alan has been in the media industry since 1989, and is an experienced video producer, director and script-writer. A significant part of his media career has involved working in major public sector projects, the most recent being a ground-breaking IPTV project, which was awarded flagship status by the Cabinet Office.

In recent years he has become heavily involved in content production which is underpinned by social marketing theory and practice.

Kirsty Beasley - Strategic Director

Kirsty Beasley

Kirsty is a Chartered Marketer and has an MBA. She has direct experience of working in both the public and private sectors in healthcare and luxury tourism.

Kirsty is a visual online communications specialist, reviewing organisations online marketing strategies to ensure that that they engage the targeted audience, manage perceptions and change behaviour. Her most recent work was to project manage a series of films for Aspen Healthcare as well as working with Barbados Tourist Authority, Gleneagles Hotel & Estate and Leading Hotels of the World. Kirsty is also on the committee for the Chartered Institute of Marketing Humber Branch and has over 16 years experience in strategic marketing and planning.

Colin Blakeston - Cameraman/Editor

Colin Blakeston

Creative and enthusiastic, Colin trained in TV & Filmmaking at the East Coast Media Centre before graduating with a Sony award.

His varied body of work has taken him from London to New York, spanning documentaries, corporate promos, music videos and completing post/colour grading duties. A skilled cameraman and editor with work shown on many UK TV channels including the BBC and ITV.

Patty Reynolds - Secretary

Patty Reynolds

Patty is meticulous and efficient. Her attention to detail, including financial management is notorious.

Her history includes 10 years working with Philip Larkin at Hull University, 10 years working as the secretary for the Sub-Dean of Science at Hull University and 20 years here at Classlane.

Breon Snowdon - Animation

Breon Snowdon

Breon is an award winning animation and design guru who has been in the industry for over two decades, producing digital design and animations for clients such as Unilever, TOM Foundation and the National Bingo Association.

Katherine Sunlay - Film Editor/Composer

Katherine Sunlay

Since graduating from the University of Hull, Katherine has developed a wide range of broadcast skills, working in both creative and technical. Her specialism is in non-linear editing which has seen Katherine produce films for the internet, DVD, and corporate promos.

Sean Bell - Head of Radio Advertising Production

Sean Bell

Writer and producer Sean has over 20 years experience in creating radio scripts, sound design and location sound recording. He’s also voiced hundreds of radio commercials, produced podcasts and worked with the likes of TV stars Craig Charles and Rik Mayall.

Ottilie Wood - Digital Marketing Intern

Ottilie Wood

In July 2012, Ottilie graduated from the University of York with a BA in Historical Archaeology. After being elected by various clubs and societies, performing roles such as event organising, gaining sponsorships and article writing, she decided to pursue a career in marketing.

At present, Ottilie’s internship with Classlane is enabling her to gain the knowledge required to succeed in this field. One of her particular interests is in heritage, to which she would like to combine with marketing.
